According to Dr. Alicia Arbaje of John Hopkins medicine older adults who volunteer at least 100 hours a year (that is less than 2 hours a week) were 2/3 less likely to have poor health and 1/3 less likely to die than non volunteers.
But how do you find places to volunteer that need your help and align to your interests and passions? Well friends, I found I cool website I wanted to share with you.
If you go to volunteermatch.org, you can enter your city and state and it will match you to opportunities where you can plug in. You can select your areas of interest and even pick in person or virtual.

You can click as many interests as you like.

This is an excellent way to stay engaged in retirement, give back, and work on good health practices at the same time. Let’s start volunteering!
If you know of other opportunities to volunteer I would love to share them. Click on the feedback button below.
Let’s make a difference in our communities.
